FAQs
What is the difference between a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist?
A Registered Dietitian also called a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) has completed a Bachelor’s of Science at an accredited university. RDNs complete over 1200 hours of supervised practice, pass a national exam, and complete continuing education credits every 5 years. RDNs abide by a code of ethics and have protection over their title. Nutritionists have no formal education requirements, exam requirements, continuing education requirements, or protection over their title.
